fester: i had several requests for my book and was willing to do pretty much anything to get the book out there. i was worried about getting arrested, but i also knew that the authorities would have to catch up with me eventually. i read several books on the subject and thought about what i would do if that happened. i had a plan. when i was arrested in 1983, i had my own homestead in the mountains where i would be safe. i looked for a place where i could be a hermit, and i found a nice spot in monte rio, california. i built a cabin and was there for a few months before i went to jail.

the authorities did come for me. i was in jail when the famous french connection bust went down. i was in jail in 1983 and in 1985, and again in 1988. i was arrested in 1988 in a major drug bust in the state of california. i was finally caught and i was the only one arrested that time. i was in a long line of cooks, and i was the only one who had a cooking crank cookbook. in 1988, i was sentenced to 40 years in prison. i was sentenced to serve 11 years in prison, and i did. i served 11 years in prison and was released in 1999. i got out of prison and was free to live my life.

in prison, preisler had his own little laboratory, and he fashioned an intricate chemical apparatus to mass-produce methamphetamine and other controlled substances. he used mercury to separate out the iodine and developed a method to produce meth without the high cost of iodine. he was a huge proponent of reusing every last drop of a batch of crank, as it were, and was a fan of cooking more than a pound at a time. he even claimed to have tried cooking up to four pounds at once. he called the cooking method a method of keeping the “cooker” free from the fester taint. he was also active in recruiting other inmates to the crank cookbook cause, and he became a legend in the prison world. he started a cooking school and was given the title of “grandmaster chef.” prison inmates learned the art of cooking meth through his expertise. they began to teach each other about cookbook recipes, and he started making movies and videos for the inmates. in the early days, there were only three inmates who cooked crank, but they later began to share recipes and procedures. by 2008, there were hundreds of inmates in the fester school. preisler and his former manufacturing partner, jerry evans, published a new edition of the cookbook, a big step up from the original. the cookbook was eventually taken out of prison distribution, but not before the prison authorities had secured the rights for $40,000. uncle fester has also published books on home brew beer, ice pick cleaning, and water disposal. all of these have become thriving enterprises. he is also an expert on the art of spam. 5ec8ef588b
