Let me get this out of the way. As far as the discography aspect is concerned, there’s a strong case to be made that every single hip hop discography CD has left the building. This is from the perspective of someone who has a house full of cracker-free CDs so they can play them at the club. There are newer people out there who are still buying CDs, but there’s a lot of them. I’m not here to tell you how wrong you are, I’m just telling you how I see it. If you want to make a CD collection for yourself, then I have a $5 item for you to buy. If you can’t do that, then I would be willing to sell you a rather large collection of mine for $10 – $25. Just throw me a line, I’ll think it over for a bit and get back to you (or at least I will, if I want to sell the collection). As far as that goes, I have a pretty large collection, for those of you unfamiliar with the term (although if you don’t know what a collection is, there’s a list of the available discography CDs at the end of this article). I’ve sorted through my collection looking for quality jazz discs, and have included those in this list. I’ve also included quite a few compilation titles that I’ve been able to get my hands on. As far as the ownership issue goes, if you can provide me with a shipping address I can ship it to you, or I can deal with the issue if you just want to throw a buck at me now to get this particular collection off your hands. I don’t think I am going to be able to make a compelling argument, because I can’t even think of one CD in the list that is a runner-up candidate for my favorite discography disc ever. If you’ve got any suggestions for a better runner up, you’re welcome to put them in here or send me a line. If you find yourself putting someone else’s name up in this discussion, then you will be severely reprimanded.
