You are always comfortable in an ensemble. You can tolerate the flaws that are inherent in the characters and the plot. But aravali, the vogue princess of 21st century cinema, will lose you in NANHE JAISALMER. I just wanted to get away from the script and from her presence. She’s insistent and in-your-face. Her singing is fabulous, but for me the movie became a yawn fest with her onboard.
NANHE JAISALMER is a love story and so will you be, but the movie did not make any efforts to stop the love story from getting over the top. You can see the backdrop but you can’t see the lovers’ hand gestures. There’s an over-earnestness in everything and NANHE JAISALMER is a very saccharine affair. Terrible!!!
NANHE JAISALMER is a schmaltzy love story. But you don’t feel the love in the movie as much as you feel the romance, written by the 18-year-old wannabe writer who has zero knowledge of the craft. NANHE JAISALMER is one disjointed, contrived, and uninspired love story, but the best is yet to come. And, it’s not the movie that it is (shows us the bright side of NANHE JAISALMER)!
