Meet The Team

The mission was to operate something that can help all working mothers and provide a work-family balance. We are very committed to professional development for the centre as a whole and our team. Keeping up with current trends in the early childhood field is vital to providing the optimal learning environment for your children. We provide a warm and homely atmosphere for children where they are respected as individuals.

I’m Michelle. I’m the managing director of Stepping Stones. I’ve been working at Stepping Stones for fourteen years and my role is to take care of the employees and running the centres. I chose this line of work as during my psychology course I became fascinated with children’s psychology and wanted to extend my knowledge in the field, I then furthered my studies and also became a play therapist. I consider myself to be patient, a problem solver and I feel that I am able to understand children’s needs and wants. The most rewarding thing about my job is that in this line of work I am able to make children’s day brighter and messier. My proudest achievement will always be my children and my marriage. In my free time I enjoy outdoor sports, picnics and dancing.
I’m Karen. I am the HR manager at Stepping Stones. I’ve been working with Stepping Stones for seven years and my job is to take care of any inquiries, interviews, emails and calls. I consider myself to be patient, caring and able to keep calm. I chose to work in this sector as since having children of my own, I was always comfortable being around children. My proudest achievement is my children, my husband and the life we have built together so far. In my free time I enjoy reading, sewing and spending time with my family.
I’m Chantelle. I am the coordinator of Stepping Stones Fgura. I’ve been working with Stepping Stones for ten years and I take care of running the centre. I consider myself to be responsible, have good organisational skills and time management. I chose child care from a young age as I always had a passion for children. My favourite activity with the children is story time and messy play activities as the sensory experiences help children to understand their senses better. I feel that my job is rewarding as I get to witness children’s development and learning first-hand as children grow and flourish under my care.
My proudest achievement must be when I became a mother for the first time. In my free time I enjoy shopping for clothes and accessories.
I’m Nikki. I’m the coordinator at Stepping Stones Qawra. I have been working at Stepping Stones for eleven years and I take care of running the centre. I chose child care from a young age as I always loved children and used to be the one taking care of all the children. My favourite part of the day is seeing the children excited and happy each morning when they arrive. I also feel a sense of satisfaction seeing children settling in and happy to come to the nursery after their first few weeks. I feel that this line of work is rewarding as you get to see children grow, develop and reach new milestones and at the same time form a bond with eachother and every one.
My proudest achievement was becoming a coordinator at such a young age when Stepping Stones Qawra first opened its doors. In my free time I enjoy going on outdoor adventures with my family.

I feel that this line of work is rewarding as seeing children grow, learn and form their personalities gives me gratification knowing that I will always be a part of that child’s life. It is also rewarding as I always get to meet new families and form relationships with them to.
