Cooking Wednesdays
At Stepping Stones we encourage independence in our little ones. Children should be in close contact with food to help foster their curiosity, food is too often seen by children as "something that is served to us". Since eating healthy is an essential life skill, we want to provide an early fun, hands-on food experience.
Every Wednesday, our centres get messy and creative with food. Children gain fine motor skills through the use of different cooking material and kitchen utensils and learn how to do simple recipes. During these cooking session healthy eating is promoted with different healthy ingredients that children can eat and explore.
No need to sign up for The Cooking Club, all children at our centres participate!
