Meet The Team 2
Stepping Stones childcare centre was established in 2006. Knowing the hardships of raising children as a working mother/father. The mission was to operate something that can help all working mothers and provide a work-family balance. We are very committed to professional development for the centre as a whole and our team. Keeping up with current trends in the early childhood field is vital to providing the optimal learning environment for your children. We provide a warm and homely atmosphere for children where they are respected as individuals.
Our preschool is privileged to have a highly qualified and talented team of childcare experts. Our team boasts university qualifications in early childhood, psychology and child care. They are very passionate about their careers and your children.
I’m Michelle. I’m the managing director of Stepping Stones. I’ve been working at Stepping Stones for fourteen years and my role is to take care of the employees and running the centres. I chose this line of work as during my psychology course I became fascinated with children’s psychology and wanted to extend my knowledge in the field, I then furthered my studies and also became a play therapist. I consider myself to be patient, a problem solver and I feel that I am able to understand children’s needs and wants. The most rewarding thing about my job is that in this line of work I am able to make children’s day brighter and messier.
My proudest achievement will always be my children and my marriage. In my free time I enjoy outdoor sports, picnics and dancing.
Ms. Karen works as a secretary at the head office and is always very helpful to parents. Her job involves coordination and implementation of office procedures and frequently has responsibility for specific projects and tasks. In some cases she also oversees and supervises the work of junior staff. Karen has 2 children of her own and she really loves working with children.
Ms. Chantelle has a diploma in childcare education and first aid and she has been working with Stepping Stones for the past three years. Ms. Chantelle is the supervisor of Stepping Stones Fgura. She is very dedicated and is also responsible for the planning of the monthly themes and activities for the preschool and baby section. “A teacher takes a hand, opens a mind and touches a heart”, these are words that I truly believe and are how I aspire to be in my career.
Ms. Nikki has a childcare diploma and first aid course. She is the supervisor of Stepping Stones Qawra.
