Lightroom 5’s user interface shows the page number of the last file open in the sequence. Spend a little time on the Photo menu, and you’ll see that it has improved a great deal. In addition to enabling a number of useful new features, the very important feature in Lightroom 5 is that it is leaner. Lightroom 5 is several megabytes lighter than the prior version. I’ll discuss that further in the next section.
As you now know, it is easy to create and update your edits. You can either export them as an optimised image (fit the canvas size), or export them as a group of layers (all edits for that group can be applied/undone in one single step). When using the first method, you also get a built-in image browser. It’s filled with recommended images. I like that.

Or you can copy and paste the rectangular selection in the correct location to get the shape.
The user can create shapes using either the Rectangle tool. By using this tool, the user can create shapes with a rectangular outline. To create the shapes, the user should use the four point tool to draw the rectangle. The square will then appear in the middle of the canvas. Once the desired shape has been created, the user can move the square around the canvas to make the shape as per the user’s needs. If the user doesn’t like the shape, the user can delete it and create a new shape.

Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 has been certified as Mac App Store approved for download from the Mac App Store desktop. This move makes it much easier to find and install the product on an Apple desktop computer. Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 is also the first app in the Creative Cloud family to receive the Mac App Store abstract application for both the Mac App Store and the Mac App Store for Mac—which helps make it even easier to find and install the application on a Mac desktop computer.
Adobe’s plug-in system, which allows developers to enhance the capabilities of working with specific file types, opens up the potential for adding more features in the future. Elements also links to and displays how an edited file will look in other versions of the programs.
Elements now auto-syncs images linked from websites, allowing content to update without the need for a web browser. The app also provides access to websites to share and edit both single and group photo albums.
Bottom line, Photoshop Elements is an excellent tool for making simple edits, including correcting exposure, color, and other elements. If you’re looking for a solution that offers powerful editing capabilities, Photoshop is for you.
The only other image editing utility we tested closer to Photoshop in capabilities, Adobe Suite is also available through the Mac App Store. The program excels in exposing contrast, brightness and color. Its sepia and overlay filters are proprietary and offer advanced tone-mapping controls. The program also provides optical-brush tools for simple touchups and digital-paint effects. The program’s 60 fixed-size canvas graphics support color and brightness adjustments, creative batch events, and a virtual lightbox to insert text, shapes or drawing tools.
