About Us: Elden Ring is a game development company aiming to develop fantasy games. Our first title was Elden Ring: Tales of the Neverending Story for iOS and Android. The company was formed in 2015 and currently employs 10 people in Austin, Texas. ABOUT THE HEAD OF DEVELOPMENT: Cho Dae-hyun, CEO. Hi! My name is Cho, and I’m the CEO of Elden Ring. I’ve been a game developer since 2006, and I’m an experienced game developer in Korea. During my career in game development, I’ve developed several indie titles and worked on projects for big companies such as KOENIGSEGGER and Ubisoft. ABOUT THE DEVELOPERS OF ELDEN RING: Hi! I have been a lead game developer since 2011, and I have spent more than 3 years in game development for Android and iOS, and more than 2 years on game design. Cho, our lead UI/UX developer, has been developing games since he was 15 years old. He became the top candidate in the world first game development contest at the age of 17. He won the prize as the best professional game designer in the world in the Neo Magazi contest. He has also developed many games as a programmer. ABOUT THE OVERALL TEAM Elden Ring was founded in 2015, and is now 10 people in size. Our team members include game developers, graphic designers, programmers, and product managers. Our current members are a project manager, studio manager, and content designer. We hope to continue to grow with the project. FUNDING SO FAR Before game development began, we did an R&D test with Google Play and iTunes App Store, and managed to get votes from 700k users! The R&D test showed that the possibility of such a project being expanded was very high, so we obtained funds from the company that hosted the test. Since we did not have money to develop the game as a product, we started crowdfunding in early 2017. We raised funds to develop a prototype from our company and friends, and the funds were used to expand the development team as we developed the game.
